  • Do you accept insurance?
We don’t bill insurance for our services, but we do recommend that our patients have insurance for things like labs, imaging, specialist referrals, and emergency care. Plans such as PPOs, high-deductible plans, or health share programs often work well alongside our model. By joining our practice, many families avoid unnecessary referrals or ER visits, since we offer more accessible and personalized care—often saving time and money.
  • Whats included in membership?
Membership includes well visits, sports physicals, unlimited sick/acute visits, chronic condition management, in office labs, vaccines, unlimited text/calls/telemedicine and more. We also plan to have exclusive member events with awesome community partners.
  • What is DPC?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model where patients pay a simple monthly membership fee, and in return, receive comprehensive care without the interference or limitations of insurance. This allows for: • A smaller practice size • Direct access to your physician • Unrushed, personalized visits It's healthcare the way it should be—focused entirely on you.
  • What is a DO?
DO stands for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Like MDs, DOs complete four years of medical school and are fully licensed to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications. What makes DOs unique is their whole-person approach to care, along with additional training in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM)—hands-on techniques that can help with pain, mobility, and overall function.
  • What is your stance on vaccines?
At Hayes Pediatrics, we strongly believe in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and recommend following the American Academy of Pediatrics/CDC immunization schedule. That said, we understand that some families may have questions or concerns. We are here to be a trusted resource and safe space for open conversations about your child’s health—including vaccines. Our goal is always to work together to keep your child as healthy as possible.
  • What about nights and weekends?
Yes! We understand that illness doesn’t follow a 9–5 schedule. We’re accessible 24/7 for urgent needs and will work with you to develop a plan of care. For true emergencies, the ER is still the best option. The beauty of our small practice size? Next-day follow-ups are never a problem.
  • What happens if Dr. Hayes is out sick or on vacation?
If Dr. Hayes is planning time off, we’ll give you a heads-up. You’ll still be able to reach us by phone, text, or telemedicine. If coverage is needed, we partner with an amazing, board-certified pediatrician who shares our philosophy of personalized, compassionate care.
